Kevin and I decided to book a very last minute trip to Portland Maine and when searching for a place to stay I came across this adorable bed & breakfast called The Blind Tiger Guest House. As soon as I looked through all of the photos, amenities etc. I literally could not stop thinking about it and just booked it!! I am so glad I did because when we arrived and saw the b&b in person we were both speechless in the best way. I could not stop thinking about how perfect it would be for elopements or intimate weddings and I came to found out that they do host weddings so I had to share it with you all!! The staff is what really made our trip so special. Everyone was so kind and personable and allowed us to take professional photos of their space when we told them what we do for living.

They have two locations both in Portland Maine. The Carleton House, a Victorian town house built in 1869 and The Danforth House, a federal style mansion built in 1823. Both extremely walkable to many of Portland’s best restaurants, bars, shops etc. We stayed at the adorable and quaint Carleton House (the first 11 photos). We loved every second staying at the Carleton House and really appreciated how homey it felt. Especially since we were the only quests staying there for the first night so we could just pretend like it was our home!! This home is much smaller than the Danforth house so I would highly recommend a small elopement here for the coziest, romantic vibes.

The sweetest staff member named Nicolette mentioned that we should check out the Danforth to take photos of since this is where they host most of their small weddings and elopements. Once we arrived, our imaginations ran wild and we couldn’t wait to share these photos in hopes that we can someday return to one of these homes for an elopement or intimate wedding!! We actually ran into the owner of Blind Tiger and he mentioned that they offer full house rentals for wedding parties!! Ummm can you imagine having this whole house to yourself and your closest loved ones?? We can!!
